A new report based on the testimonies of more than 60 Israeli soldiers is making its way around the web. It outlines how the massive civilian death toll from last summer’s Israeli assault on Gaza resulted from “a policy of indiscriminate fire.” The group of soldiers have come together to express that what happened in Gaza, and what continues to happen, is a “broad ethical failure” that “comes from the top of the chain of command.” During the 50 days of the assault last summer, more than 2,100 Palestinians in Gaza were killed, the majority of which were civilians, including more than 500 children.
Below is a video of the testimonies from the soldiers that speak to former Israeli paratrooper Avner Gvaryahu, director of public outreach at Breaking the Silence.
It’s great to see videos of soldiers coming forward to tell the truth about a side of war which mainstream media outlets never share. A good recent example of this is U.S. Soldier Ethan McCord, who was one of the many soldiers to speak in a video released by Wikileaks regarding the war in Iraq. You can learn more about that and view the video HERE.
All is not told about the atrocities of war. What we are presented with on a daily basis on our television screen is not the whole truth. Yes, we are often presented with death, destruction, and heart breaking images, but what we are also presented with is political rhetoric – the justifications and excuses for conflict – when in reality, those justifications are full of hidden agendas, false information, and lies. On top of that, many people are brainwashed by propaganda, and begin to agree with certain acts of death and destruction. There is never justification for such behaviour, and there never will be.
This is why it’s great to see soldiers like Ethan McCord come forward and share their experiences. At the end of the day, it’s not one vs. the other. What it really comes down to is the human beings who are participating in these wars. Many are starting to wake up and realize that all of this is really unnecessary, that they don’t have to participate in it anymore.
Please do not think that I am not sharing “both sides,” as this article is about the 60 Israeli soldiers trying to tell the world something, so I just wanted to present their testimonies. Many Israeli soldiers have raised their concerns, saying that the video is completely untrue.
Here is a quote I would like to leave you with, one that is also backed up by documentation. Although it does not relate to the conflict below, it outlines the type of thing I am referring to in the previous paragraph.
“The truth is, there is no Islamic army or terrorist group called Al-Qaeda, and any informed intelligence officer knows this. But, there is a propaganda campaign to make the public believe in the presence of an intensified entity representing the ‘devil’ only in order to drive TV watchers to accept a unified international leadership for a war against terrorism. The country behind this propaganda is the United States.” – Former British Foreign Secretary, Robin Cook
Today, we might be seeing something similar with ISIS. Sibel Edmonds, a former FBI translator and founder of the National Security Whistleblowers Coalition (NSWBC), expressed that ISIS was created by the U.S. to revive the terror war industry. You can read more about that story HERE.
All of this suggests that what happened on 9/11 was created by the U.S. in order to justify the infiltration of Iraq and other Middle Eastern countries. This type of thing, I believe, has been going on for decades.
