Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

God has given us power! "Do we live with it?"

Why is it important to accept Jesus Christ into our hearts?

The verse Luke 10:19 says to us:

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Allow me to bring in several threads from the Word into today’s writing and return to the verse of Luke later.

The Word I am writing down to help is Isaiah 43:26 which says this:

Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.

This verse tells us that our Heavenly Father, as Judge, is waiting for us to present our case to Him. And as a good and prepared lawyer, we need to gather up the things in our lives in which the devil has robbed us. It could be health, or financial matters, or even the ups and downs in our relationships. In any case, there are Bible verses for all of these with which we can stand before God and defend ourselves against the accusations of the devil, since we know from God’s word which we can read in Isaiah 55:10-11:

10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

That is, to give a biblical example, let us have here the verses of Isaiah 53:4-5 which tell us this.

  4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

  5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

All right, let’s put together our Father’s words now. Let’s say I’m sick and Satan constantly accuses me and tries to make me feel guilty that I owe my illness to this and that, and usually he wants to make me accuse our Heavenly Father for this.

But I won’t. And why not? Because I know the word that James 1:13 tells me:

Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

And this verse reveals to us Satan, that he is the one who works to make us go astray.

Now that we have cleared this up, let me return to how two verses of Isaiah can be connected.

Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

According to these, if the speech of our Heavenly Father, which was delivered and written down through His Bible for us, then it went out of His mouth and according to His promise it does not return to Him empty, that is, the fulfillment of His words will be done and it will be lucky where He sent it.

Think about this when you open your Bible and I want and would like you to do it more often because then the words of the Heavenly Father are sent to you and me.

If you understand the message of this Word “Isaiah 55:11” then you can easily connect any other word to it as I do in our example with Isaiah 53:5. That is, when you are sick, you know that Jesus suffered all our past and future illnesses on earth, carried them to the cross and nailed them to the tree, and paid off our debts to the Father with His own blood, and not only from the disease, but also from poverty, unhappiness, and all sorts of things that Satan tries to put on us.

Now, if we look back to the beginning of the writing, which started from the verse of Luke 10:19:

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Then we will know that Satan is defeated by the blood of our Lord Jesus and cast under our feet and nothing can harm us because the Father said my words went out from me and our part is to reveal our problem find the right Word and exercise that power in Jesus’ name, which the verse of Luke also tells us, and I promise the more you turn the Bible you yourself will find a lot of Words with which you can fight and take power over the God of this world.

Ephesians 6:11-18

  11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

  12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].

  13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

  14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

  15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

  16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

  17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

  18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Let me share 3 Scriptures that help us better understand the importance of receiving Jesus and its inevitability.

Romans 10:8 – 10

8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

If you’re reading this today and you want to be with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in eternity, know that this verse shows you how to do it. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. In the following sections, I will guide you through how to confess all of this before our Father and our Lord Jesus.

Read this prayer out loud with faith in your heart, for what is written there is faithful and true.

John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. These are the words of Jesus.

You can be born again as the Bible teaches: you need to confess

your faith. After you have been born again, say this short but very important prayer

with your loved ones, relatives, friends, and all those who believe in Jesus Christ. Because to be born again, we must confess our faith. This is what the next section is about.

Prayer for Salvation.

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God.

I believe that Jesus died for my sins,

according to the teachings of the Bible.

I believe that Jesus rose from the dead,

for my justification.

Please, Jesus, be my Lord!

Please, Jesus, be my Savior!

Please, Jesus, be my Healer!

Jesus, You are my Lord.

Jesus, You are my Savior.

Jesus, You are my Healer.

I am redeemed. I am born again in Christ.

His holy blood has cleansed me from all sins.

This is the truth, for the Word of God is truth.

Thank you, dear Jesus. Amen.

For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Matthew 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

My service is not tied to a place, not located under a country or street name, and not hidden behind a phone number. I serve my Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, growing in Him day by day, being transformed from my old self to become like Christ.
