Resist the devil.

Why is it important to accept Jesus Christ into our hearts?

We must deal with these and similar verses in our faithful life as written in James 4:7 which says:

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.’

We cannot ignore this because I believe one of Satan’s activities against our lives is to deceive us, condemn us, accuse us, all the while respecting that he cannot override human free will, using us to make a certain sin desirable to us. Let’s look at how he did this in the past and even today, nothing has changed in his actions against us.

Genesis 3:1 – 4

’1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

Ye shall not surely die,’ but indeed we died, and at this point, Satan proved to me that his word is a lie and My Heavenly Father’s word is true which He said in Genesis 2:17 which is written:

‘But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.’

It’s tough to understand that our actions have consequences that affect our lives. But let’s not forget that the Bible offers solutions to every problem in our lives; it’s not by chance that we have been able to hold it in our hands for millennia. This was the will of Our Heavenly Father, to let us know how we can escape and, even if we find our lives hopeless, the Father says this to us in 1 Corinthians 10:13

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.’

But Our Father was not lacking in His grace when He gave us this promise in 1 Peter 5:7

’Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.’

So, if you have Faith in Jesus Christ as John 16:23 and 24 say:

’23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.’

It’s very good, but know that as you grow in faith before the Heavenly Father, Satan also steps up, doing everything in his power to lead you from the narrow path to the broad path, and then it may happen as read in James 4:1 – 3:

’1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?

2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.

3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.’

Satan can find countless ways to trap us in life, these are just a few extracted verses from the Bible, but know that Jesus said this in John 16:33, that:

’These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.’

Jesus Christ himself set a great example for us when we read this in Matthew 4:10?

’Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.’

And, that your part cannot be missing from this battle against Satan is shown to us by this verse. Intentionally leaving it as the closing verse, so you can ponder how much power you have over Satan.

‘1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.’

Let me share 3 Scriptures that help us better understand the importance of receiving Jesus and its inevitability.

Romans 10:8 – 10

8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

If you’re reading this today and you want to be with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in eternity, know that this verse shows you how to do it. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. In the following sections, I will guide you through how to confess all of this before our Father and our Lord Jesus.

Read this prayer out loud with faith in your heart, for what is written there is faithful and true.

John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. These are the words of Jesus.

You can be born again as the Bible teaches: you need to confess

your faith. After you have been born again, say this short but very important prayer

with your loved ones, relatives, friends, and all those who believe in Jesus Christ. Because to be born again, we must confess our faith. This is what the next section is about.

Prayer for Salvation.

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God.

I believe that Jesus died for my sins,

according to the teachings of the Bible.

I believe that Jesus rose from the dead,

for my justification.

Please, Jesus, be my Lord!

Please, Jesus, be my Savior!

Please, Jesus, be my Healer!

Jesus, You are my Lord.

Jesus, You are my Savior.

Jesus, You are my Healer.

I am redeemed. I am born again in Christ.

His holy blood has cleansed me from all sins.

This is the truth, for the Word of God is truth.

Thank you, dear Jesus. Amen.

For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Matthew 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

My service is not tied to a place, not located under a country or street name, and not hidden behind a phone number. I serve my Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, growing in Him day by day, being transformed from my old self to become like Christ.
