At first, this request might seem strange, but if we delve deeper, we understand:
God Himself invites us to remind Him of His promises.
Of course, not because He forgets them, but because in doing so, we express our faith and trust toward Him.
It is like when a lawyer stands before a judge in court.
The lawyer does not speak based on personal opinion but refers point by point to the law, presenting the case based on the written rules.
In the same way, we stand before God: not relying on our own merits but standing on His spoken Word.
The Word is our legal foundation!
God’s Word does not change; it stands forever:
“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” (Matthew 24:35, KJV)
Therefore, when you pray, do not stand before God in fear or uncertainty, but boldly, in faith, referring to His Word!
Let’s also read Hebrews 4:16:
“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16, KJV)
See? We can come to God’s throne boldly, not in fear or doubt.
How Can You Do This?
Maybe today you are in a situation where:
The good news is, you do not have to stay there!
The Bible says:
“The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.” (Psalm 34:10, KJV)
But there are two important things you must understand before coming to the Father with your request:
Jesus Himself taught us this:
“And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” (John 14:13, KJV)
Therefore, when you pray, never forget to ask in the name of Jesus!
He is our Mediator before the Father, and through His name we have the right to approach the throne of God.
It is very important not only to believe in your heart but also to express your faith with your words.
The Word says:
“For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:10, KJV)
This means that when you bring your case before the Father, speak it out with your words, just as one person would speak to another.
The spoken word is a confession that comes from faith, strengthening your heart and aligning you with God’s promises.
Now, let’s look at a practical example of how you can do this:
Example: How to Present Your Case Before God
Imagine you feel lonely, without a companion, and it makes you sad.
First, you find a few promises from the Word:
Then you can stand before God in prayer like this:
“Father, I come before You today in the name of Jesus.
I remind You of Your promises in Your Word, where You said, ‘It is not good that the man should be alone,’ and that You would give the desires of my heart if I delight myself in You.
Therefore, I ask You to bring into my life the companion You have prepared for me.
Thank You that You are faithful to Your Word, and I believe You will give it to me in Your perfect timing!
Amen.”
In this way, based on faith and God’s Word, you approach the throne of grace with confidence.
You do not rely on your own thoughts, but on the spoken Word of God.
A Word of Encouragement in Closing
Do not give up if you do not immediately see the change!
God is faithful!
He Himself said:
“Call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.” (Psalm 50:15, KJV)
Stand boldly on His promises, lovingly and faithfully remind Him of His Word — and watch how the Almighty moves on your behalf!
Let me share 3 Scriptures that help us better understand the importance of receiving Jesus and its inevitability.
Romans 10:8 – 10
8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
If you’re reading this today and you want to be with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in eternity, know that this verse shows you how to do it. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. In the following sections, I will guide you through how to confess all of this before our Father and our Lord Jesus.
John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. These are the words of Jesus.
You can be born again as the Bible teaches: you need to confess
your faith. After you have been born again, say this short but very important prayer
with your loved ones, relatives, friends, and all those who believe in Jesus Christ. Because to be born again, we must confess our faith. This is what the next section is about.
I believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
I believe that Jesus died for my sins,
according to the teachings of the Bible.
I believe that Jesus rose from the dead,
for my justification.
Please, Jesus, be my Lord!
Please, Jesus, be my Savior!
Please, Jesus, be my Healer!
Jesus, You are my Lord.
Jesus, You are my Savior.
Jesus, You are my Healer.
I am redeemed. I am born again in Christ.
His holy blood has cleansed me from all sins.
This is the truth, for the Word of God is truth.
Thank you, dear Jesus. Amen.
For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
Matthew 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
My service is not tied to a place, not located under a country or street name, and not hidden behind a phone number. I serve my Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, growing in Him day by day, being transformed from my old self to become like Christ.
