The Key to Our Growth in Faith. Romans 10:17 may be the cornerstone where we can begin to build and strengthen our faith in Jesus Christ

Why is it important to accept Jesus Christ into our hearts?

Romans 10:17 may be the cornerstone where we can begin to build and strengthen our faith in Jesus Christ.

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Since we also know from 2 Timothy 3:16-17 that all this was written for our benefit, so that we may be equipped for every good work in the trials of life, let us also consider these two verses:

16. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

  1. That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”

In other words, when we compare Romans 10:17 with the words of 2 Timothy, we see that the word of our Heavenly Father teaches, rebukes, corrects, and trains us in righteousness. Allow me to delve a little deeper into the word “correction” because it holds many possibilities, such as “refinement, flourishing, development, improvement, restoration, and adjustment.”

Unfortunately, we are often prone to discouragement. But for those who trust in the Heavenly Father, their strength is renewed. Let me share the full verse from Isaiah 40:30-31 again:

30. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

  1. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

I highlight this verse from Scripture to show how we can support the words of our Heavenly Father with other scriptures to provide answers to our specific problems. Here is the verse from Isaiah 41:10 that complements this:

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

The Father strengthens our faith in the same way; He nurtures it within us. Therefore, as the verse in Matthew 6:27 teaches us:

Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?”

We cannot increase our faith if we are constantly worried about how it happens within us or whether it happens at all. However, this is not only true for our faith; it is also true when we see our situation as hopeless in other areas of our lives.

But what does 1 Peter 5:7 say?

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

If we do this and do not look at the visible things, but heed the advice of 2 Corinthians 4:18, which encourages us to:

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

Then, indeed, we can see that our Heavenly Father has done everything and continues to do so for us, so that we do not perish. Finally, let this verse give us hope, showing us how the Father works in us through His Holy Spirit, in us who are in Jesus Christ.

Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

Let me share 3 Scriptures that help us better understand the importance of receiving Jesus and its inevitability.

Romans 10:8 – 10

8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

If you’re reading this today and you want to be with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in eternity, know that this verse shows you how to do it. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. In the following sections, I will guide you through how to confess all of this before our Father and our Lord Jesus.

Read this prayer out loud with faith in your heart, for what is written there is faithful and true.

John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. These are the words of Jesus.

You can be born again as the Bible teaches: you need to confess

your faith. After you have been born again, say this short but very important prayer

with your loved ones, relatives, friends, and all those who believe in Jesus Christ. Because to be born again, we must confess our faith. This is what the next section is about.

Prayer for Salvation.

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God.

I believe that Jesus died for my sins,

according to the teachings of the Bible.

I believe that Jesus rose from the dead,

for my justification.

Please, Jesus, be my Lord!

Please, Jesus, be my Savior!

Please, Jesus, be my Healer!

Jesus, You are my Lord.

Jesus, You are my Savior.

Jesus, You are my Healer.

I am redeemed. I am born again in Christ.

His holy blood has cleansed me from all sins.

This is the truth, for the Word of God is truth.

Thank you, dear Jesus. Amen.

For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Matthew 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
